Educational goals
The goal for architecture education in the 21st century is the
training and development of the eyes, the brain and the hands
of the architect.
The eyes develop the power of observation to comprehend the nature
of things. The brain develops thinking ability to put together
creatively the information observed, and the hands develop the
ability to express concretely the creative concept in thought.
This study trains the student to apply and combine these three
abilities for architectural design and construction.
Laboratory Practice
This department conducts architectural design lectures for each
class year level in a design studio. Each student is provided
with a drawing table and a working table. In the computer-aided
design laboratory there are thirty 586 level computers. During
the lectures on architectural history and architectural theory,
various kinds of audio-visual education are carried out with video,
OHP, and slide projector.
