and Trade Department
Educational goals
This department teaches international economics and trade theory
that is at the root of the national economy and is the main axis
of economic development. Today the trade order of the world is
put together through the WTO. China, in particular, in order to
develop her economy through international trade, needs many able
people who can comprehend present developments, international
trade rules and relationships, and the social economy of the major
countries. Such people will be highly specialized experts who
can engage in actual business, management, research, public relations,
and planning, in the fields of foreign economic trade, foreign
capital enterprise, and government organizations. Students must
learn systematically the economic principles of Marxism, international
economics and development, trade rules and policy of international
trade in China, and the social and economic conditions of the
main countries and areas
Prospects after graduation
Most of this major¡¯s graduates find work connected with foreign
capital enterprise, and are increasingly welcomed into Chinese
trading areas.

Management Information Systems Department
Educational goals
This department, on the edge of the 21st century information
age, teaches practical methods of using computers to improve management
efficiency of commercial or other enterprises. We aim to integrate
management systems which enable enterprises to operate effectively
within the market economy. The computer, with its methods and
range of uses, has become indispensable for such operations. This
department teaches the best ways of organizing an enterprise,
such as are used in modern advanced nations in the West, so enabling
our students to be competitive with foreign businesses. Our courses
therefore include accounting, financial and personnel management,
management strategy, production management in enterprise fields,
quality control, sales and marketing, advertisement theory, and
effective management of enterprise information. Recent emphasis
has been on training people in computer basics, database development,
computer language, E-business, and aspects of electronic commercial
dealings wia the Internet.
Prospects after graduation
Most of graduates move to foreign capital enterprise or bench
enterprises in the IT industry, and they can be accepted in organizations
of the nation and research institutes. Their studies can also
help them to found their own business enterprises
