Aim
¤ý The following explains the purpose of selection level, process, and approval of the credits when YUST students want to go to study abroad as exchange students.
 
Applicant and Qualification
¤ý The applicants must be YUST students, especially sophomores and juniors.
¤ý The students¡¯ GPA must be at least 3.0.
¤ý They must be well behaved.
¤ý The average grade of English courses must be above B+ or 500 points on the TOEFL.
¤ý They must not have been disqualified from overseas travel.
 
Application and Time
¤ý The applicants should fill out the Application Form attached with letters of recommendation from their advisor and director of the Residential Life and Housing Services, giving both to the Office of Student Affairs.

Selection
¤ý The Selection Committee will select the exchange students.
 
The Selection Committee
¤ý The Selection Committee comprises a Chairman (Dean of the Office of Student Affairs), and committee members (Dean of the OAA, Deans of each Department, directors of the school dorms).
 
Registration Fee
¤ý The exchange students are still considered YUST students during the exchange period.
¤ý The exchange students need to pay the tuition fees and registration fees to YUST, with the dorm fees exempted, while other expenses they need to pay themselves.
 
Register for the courses
¤ý The exchange students need to register for the courses according to the curriculum during their exchange period. It ¡¯ s recommended that exchange students take the courses related to their respective majors.

Each department should separate them and hand them to the OAA altogethe r. Students who didn ¡¯ t apply for the courses in their country may need to apply for the courses in the exchange university with the help of their advisor and give it to the OAA by T.A.
 
Credits of exchange students
¤ý The school will accept passing credits for the courses that exchange students have taken in the exchange university.
¤ý The maximum number of transfer credits can be no more than 18 for one semester, and 36 for one academic year (two semesters).
¤ý If students receive credits for courses that they have already taken and passed at YSUT, the school will not approve the credits.
¤ý The school will not approve credits received from universities other than their exchange university.
 
Process
¤ý

First, students need to fill out the Credit Approval Application Form Second, students get approval from the departmental dean Third, each department should submit the forms to the OAA with the transcripts of the exchange university.

¤ý If the credits that the exchange students receive from the exchange university are not the same as
YUST¡¯s, students must follow YUST standards.
¤ý All the courses that are taken from the exchange university can be transferred to YUST.
If there are no similar courses, they will be listed as electives.
¤ý The exchange students cannot be selected as scholarship students.
